Dinner anyone? The excavators uncovered these dishes in a room on the side of the building outlined by the magnetometric survey. The plates were imports from Italy; nearby was the upper half of a wine amphora from Rhodes, whose stamped handle showed it was made in 145 B.C.E. These imports indicate that Kedesh was certainly not an isolated backwater.
