Three female figurines, one silver and two bronze, were discovered alongside the standing stones in Hazor’s Middle Bronze Age II sanctuary. Around the neck of one of the statues was wrapped a textile, suggesting that the figurine was originally clothed. Perhaps they were votives left at the rite in gratitude—or supplication.
