Decorated with rosettes, the child’s ossuary is inscribed with the woeful epitaph of “Alas! Bey‘a, Son of Jacob,” in Palmyrenian cursive, which connects it to the mother’s ossuary. The inscription inside the rosette is carefully engraved so as not to disturb the petals.
