Wave-like curves top 9-inch-high mini-capitals found at Ramat Raḥel’s palace, echoing the larger Proto-Ionic capitals found at the site. The small capitals, carved from limestone, were joined together; each one features a pair of palmettes flanking an egg-shaped central element. The capitals have holes in them that allowed them to be attached to a windowsill or railing; some of the capitals still bear traces of red paint.
