Ardon Bar Hama

Magic spells spiral around the inside of this bowl, from the center to the lip, in a clockwise motion. This method of inscribing incantation bowls was the most common, and the writing sometimes continued onto the outside of the bowl. Other text patterns included pie-like sections, sun shapes and star or flower shapes. Jugs and goblets were sometimes the vessels for these magical words, but bowls were by far the most popular.
