Hades hath no fury like a woman’s wrath. An Amazon warrior raises her arm against a Greek soldier in this frieze from the Mausoleum. Just one part of an extensive relief, it depicts a battle between the Amazons and the Greeks. This is one of the sculptures that was removed by the Crusaders and later exhibited in the British Museum.
