FIT FOR A KING? No human remains or grave goods were found in Tomb A by the excavators, but they did find evidence of looters. Franklin managed to crawl inside the tunnel and take this picture of the interior. Since this tomb was built at the same time as the palace, it was surely intended for King Omri. Tomb B, which was dug later, was probably for the king’s son Ahab or perhaps for Omri’s wife.
