TUNNEL VISION. Norma Franklin poses here next to a depression in the scarp face that she identifi ed as the entrance tunnel to her second tomb, Tomb B. Clearly visible, however, behind her and to the left is the southern end of a large wall of ashlars. Yet Franklin had reconstructed the second tomb along the section line G-H, under palace rooms marked on the plan “10, ” “1” and “2.” So in this photo she is standing near a “tunnel entrance” several yards south of where she proposed the tomb’s location to be. Author Ussishkin uses this as further evidence that there never was a second burial cave.
