Inside the temple, benches line the walls. The distance from the temple entrance across to the shrine is less than 18 feet. At either end of the broad-room building, the floor is paved with pebbles under which excavators found fragments of vessels for votive offerings that lay buried. In the background the Dead Sea and the mountains of Moab are visible.
