This intricate and colorful floor of the Samaritan synagogue at Khirbet Samara depicts the façade of the Tabernacle that the Samaritans believe once stood on Mt. Gerizim. This exquisite mosaic is one of the earliest depictions of the Ark of the Covenant discovered in the Land of Israel.
