Garo Nalbandian

FINAL RESTING PLACE? A rectangular depression or basin is carved into the rock floor at the back of T1’s upper tunnel (the image above, recently taken with the help of a ladder, is the only known photograph of the depression). Measuring 6 feet long and almost 4 feet wide, if the depression is an original feature of the “tomb,” then it may have held the body or sarcophagus of the deceased.
