Crudely carved hieroglyphs on the back of this black-and-white spotted granite statue denote a high-ranking male Ramesside official. Ever since its discovery by children in 1951 in a garden in Jerusalem (about 550 yards from where the red granite queen was found), it has been stored on a shelf at the IAA.
