This gold goblet with spiral stem was excavated among the many rich finds from 13 so-called royal tombs at Alacahöyük in central Turkey. Six of the Bronze Age tombs have been reconstructed and are open to the public. Security cameras placed at the site protect the ancient remains from damage, deterring potential vandals and looters.
