HONEST WEIGHTS AND MEASURES. This discoid weight inscribed with an “X” on its face is similar to other weights that have been found at sites in the southern Levant, including the Philistine city of Ashdod. At Ashkelon, this weight would probably have been used to measure silver in exchange for goods or services.
