EGYPTIAN SIGNATURE. A falcon and a crouching figure with a blossom on its knees are incised on the face of this Egyptian scarab found in the marketplace (right; view of reverse side, left). The crouching figure is probably Sekhmet, the Egyptian lion-headed goddess of war, fire and healing.
