THE TALE OF THE POTTERY. Qurayyah Painted Ware from the 12th–11th centuries B.C.E., the generally accepted timing of the Exodus according to those who accept its historicity, was found scattered across the site—both geographically and chronologically. Sherds from Timna in Israel have been restored into complete vessels, including the jug shown here.
