A royal capital, Hattuša served as the seat of power for the Hittite dynasty in the Late Bronze Age—the Golden Age of the Hittite empire. Hattuša contained an Upper and Lower City as well as more than 30 temples. The most significant find in Hattuša was the extensive library of cuneiform texts that opened up the world of the mysterious Hittites, but were these the same Hittites as in the Biblical text?
