ISRAELITE FOOTPRINTS? Throughout the Jordan Valley, the Survey of Manasseh team discovered sites with sandal-shaped enclosure walls. This shape was intentional and not the result of the region’s natural topography. Adam Zertal interpreted these enclosures as intentionally shaped footprints that symbolized the new population’s belief that they owned this territory. This is an aerial view of Bedhat esh-Sha’ab.
