MICROCHIP IDENTIFICATION. The entire site was mapped using 3D laser scanners, which provide precise locations and measurements for every stone. A radio-frequency identification microchip (RFID) (shown here) was then inserted into each stone. These chips were able to track each stone in relationship to its neighbors.
