PHOENICIAN FIGURINES. The Phoenicians featured two major kinds of figurines—female fertility figurines and adult male figurines. The pair of Iron Age horse-and-rider figurines shown here comes from Achziv on the northern coast of Israel and depicts mounted soldiers.
