OUTSIDE THE ROYAL BAKERY, two small patches of undisturbed debris from the Iron Age were excavated in 2009. The undisturbed lower layers of accumulated debris from Patch B were found at the foot of the Small Tower’s outer wall; this debris had been thrown from the Building of the Royal Bakers during the Iron Age.
