THE NELSON GLUECK SCHOOL OF BIBLICAL ARCHAEOLOGY

A JAR BURIAL at Tel Dan in northern Israel contains the remains of an infant (6–10 months old). Buried with a juglet right next to his mouth, the infant was placed on his right side, and his head pointed toward the jar’s opening. The burial dates to the Middle Bronze Age IIC (c. 1600 B.C.E.).
