THE ANCIENT CAPITAL of the Hittite Empire, Hattusa is located in northern central Anatolia near modern Boğazkale, Turkey, and is an archaeological site on the World Heritage List. Pictured in this photo is the series of temples in the Upper City of Hattusa, where the tablets inscribed with the Song of Liberation were found.
