STAIRCASE TO SELA. Cut into the mountainside, this solitary staircase leads to Sela’s summit. It follows a fissure in the rock on Sela’s eastern side and likely dates to the eighth–sixth centuries B.C. Some of its lower steps have been refurbished in recent years.
