GOSPEL HARMONY. This parchment manuscript fragment contains Greek gospel text. But it does not correspond to any one canonical gospel. Rather, it mixes elements of all four, harmonizing the canonical versions. Found in an undisturbed context at Dura-Europos, which we know was sacked in A.D. 256, it can be securely dated to before that year. It is sometimes identified as a copy of the Diatessaron, a work of the Christian writer Tatian.
