A RAISING CANE. The raising of Lazarus is pictured also on the Santa Sabina doors in Rome. The scene is followed on this panel by two more of Jesus’s miracles, both done with the wonder-making staff: the multiplication of the loaves and fishes and the turning of water into wine at the wedding at Cana.
