WINE AND DINE. Used to hold wine, grain, and other materials, large storage jars—or amphorae—have been found throughout ancient Israel and Judah. This bronze wine set comes from the site of Tel Nami on the Mediterranean coast and dates to the 13th century B.C.E., during the Late Bronze Age. It consists of a juglet, strainer, and drinking bowl. Liquid would have been poured from the juglet through the strainer into the bowl.
