HAND-CARVED CUP. The unfinished cup comes from the quarry at ‘Einot Amitai, where it was found discarded due to a mishap during the production process in antiquity. Unlike vessels from pottery, chalkstone tableware and storage vessels didn’t need to be discarded or broken when they contacted ritual impurity.
