SYRIAN STYLE. These limestone elements from Ebla were originally part of composite statues and depict three sets of men’s clothing, see here. The sets include turbans (túg-ZI. ZI), rounded belts (íb-lal), and skirts (aktum-T.) with woolen tufts (kaunakes). The men’s bare chests would have been represented by gold leaf, which has not survived (see reconstruction here).
