PRISTINE PRESERVATION. Archaeologists at ‘Auja el-Foqa found many complete pottery vessels within a house in Area B. These come from a destruction level dated to the ninth or eighth century B.C.E. Erik Waaler, a volunteer at the dig, helps uncover some from one of the house’s rooms.
