PRISTINE PRESERVATION. Archaeologists at ‘Auja el-Foqa found many complete pottery vessels within a house in Area B. These come from a destruction level dated to the ninth or eighth century B.C.E. Here is a complete jar from the house with a doughnut-shaped stopper on top.
