QURAYYAH POTTERY. Distinctive painted pottery, likely coming from the site of Qurayyah in northwest Arabia, is often found in Late Bronze and early Iron Age sites in the desert regions south of Judah. As evidenced by vessels found at Timna, the pottery features colorful figural and geometric designs, including ostriches (front center vessel) that would have been hunted by local tribes.
