A small silver scroll, from a late-seventh-century tomb near Jerusalem, is inscribed with text also found in the Priestly Blessing in Numbers 6:24–26: “May Yahweh bless and keep you;/ May Yahweh cause his face to shine upon you and grant you peace.” This tiny scroll (only 1.5 inches long when unrolled) was probably worn around the neck on a string as a good luck charm.
