The outer facade of the temple. Covered entirely with gold, the facade of the Temple reflected the glow of the morning sun. The 70-foot-high portal, without doors or curtains, was surmounted by oak beams whose length gradually decreased from top to bottom. The beams penetrated the thickness of the wall. Doorposts were formed by the extension of the beams at a 90-degree angle.
