Eleven incense altars from the seventh century B.C., including these five (shown here, comapre with photos of limestone altar and cylindrical pottery stand), have been found in the Philistine city of Ekron (Tel Miqne). The horned altars all came from industrial buildings, while the round altar at center came from the city’s domestic zone.
