The bilingual inscription. The Assyrian text (shown here, compare with photo and drawing of Aramaic text), Written in cuneiform script, dedicates the statue to Adad (Hadad) with praise and prayers, and curses anyone who “removes my name from the furnishings of the house of Adad.”
