The Lord of the Goats Tomb, linked by passages to the Tomb of the Princess and other burial chambers beneath Ebla’s Western Palace, yielded a wealth of exquisitely wrought gold and bronze artifacts. This 2.5-inch length of gold chain (shown here, compare with photos of necklace and bronze decorative head) from a necklace ends in two pendants of semiprecious stones held by caps decorated with granulated gold.
