“It’s Greek to me,” you may be thinking. And it’s Greek to scholars, too, both literally and figuratively speaking. These groups of two or three Greek letters follow seven of the 64 treasure locations given in the Copper Scroll. The letters do not spell words or known abbreviations, however, which suggests that they may be some kind of code connected with the treasure’s hiding places. Unfortunately, nobody has succeeded in cracking the code—at least so far as we know.
