Two teachers, one message. Though they came from vastly different times, places and backgrounds, Jesus and the Buddha produced strikingly similar teachings. Sculpted from fine white marble, this 11th-century statue captures the quiet dignity as well as the mystery of the Buddha as he stands, with his right hand raised in a traditional gesture.
