Two centuries later at Beit Alpha, a similar combination of pagan and traditional Jewish elements was employed (compare with photo of mosaic floor at Hammath Tiberias). Here, however, the mosaic designers exercised a measure of restraint: Libra (to the left of Helios) and the other months are more modestly attired.
