The nude female shown here, exhibited in the Musée Guimet in France, comes from Luristan in western Iran and may date to the eighth or seventh century B.C.E., a time of great metal craftsmanship in the area. She wears a ridged necklace and belt and, behind her long braids, a large gold hoop in one ear.
