Author Charles Hedrick (shown here) helped piece together the Nag Hammadi fragments in the library of the Coptic Museum in Cairo in the 1970s. Among the finds were tracts, apocalypses, letters and several noncanonical gospels, including a complete copy in Coptic of the Gospel of Thomas (compare with photo of page from Coptic Gospel of Thomas) and the Gospel of Philip, the Dialogue of the Savior and the Secret Book of James.
