Baroque trimmings adorn the entrance to Rome’s Santa Croce in Gerusalemme—the church of the Holy Cross in Jerusalem. Built on the site of Helena’s palace chapel, the church houses several relics (see the second sidebar to this article) said to have been found by the empress.
