“My journey to Antiochia ad Cragum in Turkey expanded not only my academic potential, but also my personal aspirations. I made small discoveries every day about history, life abroad, and myself.”—ALEXANDRIA CROSBY

“As a student of scripture, the opportunity to dig at Azekah was invaluable. It not only provided me with practical skills in excavation, but also showed me in a tangible way how archaeology and biblical studies illuminate each other.”—JULIO BARCUDI GODOY

“To participate in a dig in Israel had been a dream of mine for years. One day, I came across the BAS Dig Scholarships, which are available to nonacademics such as myself. I applied and the rest is history! Thanks to BAS, my dig adventure at El‑Araj became a reality!”—CAROLYN ROCK
