1 Kings 3:1: The record of King Solomon’s reign begins by telling us: “Solomon made a marriage alliance with Pharaoh king of Egypt: he took Pharaoh’s daughter and brought her into the City of David.”
1 Kings 7:8: In the course of the description of the construction of Solomon’s royal palace, we are told “He also made a house like this hall for Pharaoh’s daughter whom he had taken.”
1 Kings 9:16: In the passage about the Egyptian conquest of Gezer, we are told that Pharaoh gave Gezer “as a dowry to his daughter, Solomon’s wife.”
1 Kings 9:24 and 2 Chronicles 8:11: In the description of Solomon’s building activities in Jerusalem, we are told that “Pharaoh’s daughter went up from the City of David to her own house which Solomon had built for her.”
