Cave Complex 2 differs only slightly from Cave Complex 1. The entrance chamber is considerably larger, and three burial chambers extend from the left wall, instead of two. The headrests are thicker, with ends that curl up. In the first chamber on the right wall (as in Cave Complex 1), the dead may have been prepared for burial.

These rooms were built according to a plan using the ancient cubit measurement; in fact, Cave Complex 2 was built using multiples of the so-called short cubit (45 cm) and Cave Complex 1, using multiples of the long, or royal Egyptian, cubit (52.5 cm).
