“‘Behold, a virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and his name shall be called Emmanuel’” (Matthew 1:23)

Mary conceives and gives birth to Jesus.

Prophecy of Micah 5:2

“‘And you, O Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah; for from you shall come a ruler who will govern my people Israel.’”(Matthew 2:6)

Jesus is born in Bethlehem.

Prophecy of Hosea 11:1

“‘Out of Egypt have I called my son.’” (Matthew 2:15)

Joseph, Mary and Jesus go Egypt.

Prophecy of Jeremiah 31:15

“‘Avoice was heard in Ramah, wailing and loud lamentation, Rachel weeping for her children; she refused to be consoled, because they were no more’” (Matthew 2:18)

Herod murders all male children aged two years and younger in Bethlehem.
