Admission to the Site: The Sounion archaeological site is open daily from 9 a.m. to sunset.
Getting There: It’s possible to drive to Sounion or to take a local bus from Athens.

A few suggestions include: O Platanos (located near the Plaka at #4 Diogenous), Ta Tria Tetara at #25 Oikonomou, and “26” on Makriyanni, close to the Acropolis. For authentic native cuisine, there’s Ancient Taste, at #22 Kodratou; here you can feast on the same dishes that ancient Athenians enjoyed, including slices of pork stuffed with plums and swordfish in berry sauce.
