INTRICATE INLAYS. The ivories recovered from Building 100 feature three different decorative designs. Here see a geometric pattern of alternating diamond shapes and circles. These plaques were most likely inlays that adorned luxurious wooden furniture, traces of which survived the building’s destruction by the Babylonians in 586 BCE.
