INTRICATE INLAYS. The ivories recovered from Building 100 feature three different decorative designs. Here see a stylized date palm framed by rosettes. These plaques were most likely inlays that adorned luxurious wooden furniture, traces of which survived the building’s destruction by the Babylonians in 586 BCE.
